There are piles of things to do as we prepare for baby. One major project was remodeling our main bathroom from floor to ceiling. I'm thrilled to say that that project is complete and looks mahhhhhvelous (see scary before & afters below). Now we're working on painting the baby's room. Unfortunately neither of these projects has come without great sacrifice, mostly of Matt's body. Below is a shot of Matt continuing to pull up bathroom tile earlier this year after the six stitches he needed at urgent care from not wearing gloves in the first place (note to the reader: we were not permitted to go to urgent care until both Matt and his bro Steve had been fed lunch. Classic.). Now that the wee cherub's room is in mid-paint, we have plastic lining the stairs going from the first to second floors. I have had a sense over the last few days that one of us was going to slip but naturally assumed it would be me, as my motor skills have basically imploded on me the last few weeks (what, it's not normal to tip over backwards while putting groceries away?). However tonight I heard a big thud and lo and behold Matt slid down the stairs and sprained something in his left foot. Fortunately we were on our way out the door to Baskin Robbins so all was right with the world. Hopefully we both make it to September in one piece.
