Genevieve had her first little school concert today, the Elm Grove Preschool Spring Sing. It was held at the Sunset Playhouse which is a small, charming little theater here in the Grove which also happens to be about 20 feet from daycare. It was *the* place to be this morning, with parents and grandparents flocking in from every direction. The performance featured four classes of two to four year olds singing all as a group and then each class was assigned a season. GG's class was summer and let me tell you, the girl was ready to perform. Matt and I have been hearing nothing but 'practicing' for weeks. I use that term loosely as their teachers instructed the kids to sing at the top of their lungs which at age three can be translated as "scream your fool head off". It was fun to commiserate with the other parents pre-show about having
Four Leaf Clover yelled at you 24/7.
Outside of a couple criers and a couple of boys who were absolutely insistent on lifting up their shirts, the kids did really well. We're reserving our tickets now for Spring Sing '13!
