It was a busy weekend here at casa del Maio, as the masses came to meet baby Genevieve. Ok, maybe not the masses but our good friends the Harms' and the Kroenings made looooong drives to Tosa to meet our new addition, and we were joined by the Bansemars (see 'Baby's First Fundraiser, below). We've all been friends for 7 or 8 years now, and it's been really fun for us all to go through life's little adventures on curiously similar schedules (graduate, buy houses, get engaged, get married, and now...have babies!). What a difference a year makes - just last spring we went to Mexico with Scott & Anna and Kyle & Robin...just a year and a half later our group of 6 has turned into 9. Scott & Anna have 10 month old Ethan, Kyle & Robin have 5 month old Miles, and now of course baby Genevieve has joined the group. She's going to have to learn to hold her own against those boys! The dads spent the weekend revisiting their glory days glued to Play Station 3, and the moms spent the weekend swapping trade secrets and taking many, many photos. It was very reassuring to spend time with other new parents and realize that we're not scrweing Genevieve up too much. Yet.

Can't wait 'til C is in Milwaukee for 6 weeks so I have an excuse to visit!
