It's been a gorgeous weekend here in suburbia; just the thing we needed to keep checking household projects off the list. Matt finished painting the baby's room this week (pebble rock is the color - nice and neutral), and the evil plastic was removed from the stairways. Matt commented that this was the first time since the beginning of February that the upstairs wasn't covered in drop cloths, and we noticed that the ratio of spaces we've painted to not is 10 (including exterior which really should count for at least 2 on its own) to 6. Yikes.
We spent Friday night at our friends Dan & Erin's (who will be Mr. & Mrs. in September!) which was an awesome break from the busy weekend to come. For a house the size of ours, we have
a lot of garden and the rest of the weekend was marked for tackling one particularly heinous corner of the front yard. I tried to help as much as I can, but let's call a spade a spade here folks, it's all I can do to bend down to get ice cream from the freezer much less spend hour after hour plucking weeds and laying mulch. So instead I took my job of landscape designer very seriously.
All in all between the bathroom, the painting of baby's room, and the garden projects, my amazing hubby (and his trusty sidekick, Ralphie) gets major props for being a kick ass home improver.
